The course ends with the submission and presentation of a project that provides an in-depth analysis of a topic present in the repertoire of large conferences in the field (some excellent examples would be GECCO, AHS - formerly known as NASA/DoD Conference on Evolvable Hardware, ICES, ALife, ECAL).
The project consists of a written report which will be presented in PowerPoint (or PDF). The presentation will take about 10 minutes, its purpose being to demonstrate research proficiency and a sufficient level of expertise attained over a topic of choice in Evolvable Systems and the skills to effectively communicate the results.
