Alexandru Amaricai

Alexandru Amaricai has graduated the Politehnica University of Timisoara, Computer Science and Engineering Department in 2006, as a top student (ranked 3rd) with the diploma thesis entitled "Floating Point Unit for Interval Arithmetic". He was a constant recipient of honorary scholarships, awarded to the top students only. He is currently a PhD student at Computer Science and Engineering Department of Politehnica University of Timisoara, under the coordination of professor Mircea Vladutiu.
His research interests are Computer Arithmetic, Testing and Reliability of Arithmetic Circuits, Arithmetic in Quantum Computing and other Emerging Technologies. Mr. Amaricai's teaching activity at the Computer Science and Engineering Department includes the labs for "Computer Engineering".


Oana Boncalo

Oana Boncalo has graduated the Politehnica University of Timisoara, Computer Science and Engineering Department in 2006, with the diploma thesis entitled "Simulated Fault Injection in Quantum Circuits". She was a top student during study (ranked 5th) and also a recipient of honorary scholarships, awarded to the top students only. She is currently a PhD student at Computer Science and Engineering Department of Politehnica University of Timisoara, under the coordination of professor Mircea Vladutiu.
Her main research activity within the ACSA research group is the development of the QUERIST (Quantum Error Injection Simulated Tool) project, the first HDL based tool for quantum circuits’ reliability assessment and quantum fault tolerance analysis. Ms. Oana Boncalo's teaching activity includes the labs for "Computer Fundamentals".


Cristian Ruican

Cristian Ruican received a BSc (2001) and a MSc (2005), both in Computer Science and Engineering from the "Politehnica" University of Timisoara. He is currently a PhD student at Computer Science and Engineering Department of Politehnica University of Timisoara, under the coordination of professor Mircea Vladutiu. His main research activity within the ACSA research group is the Automatic Synthesis for Quantum Circuits using Genetic Algorithms.
He is currently working at Siemens VDO Automotive, being involved in real time software projects for the automotive industry, his team being in charge of providing innovative solutions such as lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition. For several years, his central interest has been in the fields of Automatic Synthesis, Quantum Circuits and Genetic Algorithms. Send email.


Teodor Pop

Teodor Pop joined the Computer Science and Engineering from the "Politehnica" University of Timisoara as a top undergraduate student. He was also involved in several student contests organized by the ACSA lab (diploma won for his Study of Neural Networks) or by the Mechanical Faculty (diploma won for the Tennis Player Movement Analysis project). His graduation project is based on the "Performance Analysis for the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor", supervised by professor Mircea Vladutiu.
He is currently working at Siemens Forte Bussiness Services as System Administrator, being in charge with Active Directory, Networking, Operating Systems, Telecommunication, Phone/Video Conferencing developments. He is aiming towards a PhD related to the bio-inspired and quantum computing fields. His research interests focus on Computer Architecture, Processor Design and Architecture, Testability andQuantum and Bio-inspired Calculus. Send email.


Razvan Bogdan

Razvan Bogdan has graduated the Politehnica University of Timisoara, Computer Science and Engineering Department in 2006, with his diploma thesis "Practical Study of Grid Systems' Dependability and Security". He is currently a PhD student at Computer Science and Engineering Department of Politehnica University of Timisoara, under the coordination of professor Mircea Vladutiu. In July 2006, Razvan Bogdan won the third prize at IEEE Conference "Tesla - Neverending Story", which took place in Belgrade, Serbia. His paper was about threats models in Grid Computing. His research interests are Security and Dependability  of Grid Systems, Testing Grid Systems. He is currently working at Siemens VDO Automotive, being involved in software projects for the automotive industry. Send email.


Marius Cavasdan

Marius Cavasdan received a BSC (2005) and a MSc (2006), both in Computer Science and Engineering from the "Politehnica" University of Timisoara. He is currently a PhD student at Computer Science and Engineering Department
of Politehnica University of Timisoara, under the coordination of professor Mircea Vladutiu. He was also involved in the Microsoft IT Academy program where he brought the Microsoft IT Academy curriculum to the "Politehnica" University. His main research activity within the ACSA Research group is in Security and Reliability of Distributed Systems. He

Elena Doandes

Elena Doandes received a BSc (2004) and a MSc (2005), both in Computer Science and Engineering from the "Politehnica" University of Timisoara. She is currently a PhD student at Computer Science and Engineering Department of Politehnica University of Timisoara, under the coordination of professor Mircea Vladutiu. Her main research
activity within the ACSA research group is in Interaction Design. Her teaching activity includes the labs for "Computer Programming", "Data Structures and Algorithms", "Advanced Data Structures and Algorithms" and "Compiling Techniques".Send email.
